The United Way of Greater Kansas City<\/a> has developed a new program, Impact 100, an annual list of the 100 most impactful community partners that United Way will invest in.<\/p>\n

Swope Health is proud to be named as one of the Impact 100<\/a> organizations addressing the most vital health and human service needs leading provider of quality accessible healthcare in Kansas City.<\/p>\n

As an inaugural Impact 100 organization, Swope Health will receive unrestricted funding from United Way to address the most pressing needs in our mission of improving community health and wellness by delivering accessible, quality, comprehensive patient care. Annually, Swope Health serves more than 45,000 patients at 16\u00a0centers located throughout the area including Kansas City, Belton, Independence, Kansas City North, Hickman Mills and Wyandotte County, KS.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy refining our focus with the launch of the Impact 100, our goal is to provide funding and resources that go beyond a check \u2014 we want to work closely with these organizations to create long-lasting, systemic change that solves real issues in our community,\u201d said Chris Rosson, chief executive officer and president of United Way of Greater Kansas City, in a press release<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Impact 100 will be an annual program with new organizations named to the list each year. Having an adaptive portfolio allows United Way to balance immediate need and systems-change efforts while staying agile and impact-aligned. Every organization in the Impact 100 maintains a high bar of organizational accountability and effectiveness in terms of finances, governance and impact in the community.<\/p>\n

\u201cUnited Way is more than a fundraising organization,\u201d said Rosson. \u201cWe are a community-centered, solution-oriented, problem-solving organization for those who need it most, where they need it most and when they need it most. By sharpening our mission, removing barriers for contributions and re-energizing our brand as a whole, we are looking forward to a more meaningful \u2014 and impactful \u2014 future ahead.\u201d<\/p>\n

United Way\u2019s criteria for selection included a variety of factors and produced a list that is diverse in geographic regions of service, organizations led by people of color, focus areas and more. The Impact 100 organizations work in domains of child welfare, healthcare access, food security, housing and financial stability, positive youth development and early childhood development.<\/p>\n

Swope Health is honored to be a community partner of United Way and recognized for our work as the voice of community health in Kansas City.<\/p>\n
