(Aug. 29, 2022) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 Area business leaders and foundations helped <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/swopehealth.org\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swope Health<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> raise funds while honoring their loved ones and the mission of their organizations at a recent benefit held at the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. \u00a0At the event, PACE KC announced the launch of a naming campaign for care rooms within the Adult Wellness Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/healthforward.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Health Forward Foundation<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which pledged more than $100,000 to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/swopehealth.org\/what-we-do\/pace-kc-adult-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PACE KC Adult Wellness Center<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for programming and staffing, will be recognized with the naming of the \u201c<\/span><b>Health Forward Foundation Patio<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to Health Forward Foundation Patio commemoration:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201c<\/span><b>Wesley Fields Family Living Room<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d is named for the PACE KC capital campaign honorary chairman Wesley Fields and his mother, Delores Fields. Wesley Fields is partner in charge of the Kansas City office of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP, specializing in public finance and corporate transactions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A family meeting room in the PACE KC Center will be named for \u201c<\/span><b>Mr. &amp; Mrs. Clyde &amp; Josephine McQueen<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d Clyde McQueen has served as the CEO of the Full Employment Council for more than 35 years.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The medical clinic will be named the \u201c<\/span><b>Mabee Foundation Medical Clinic<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u201d The Mabee Foundation, headquartered in Midland, Texas, had issued a challenge grant of $1.4 million. The campaign met the challenge, raising the more than $1 million required ahead of the deadline.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe continued support of the PACE KC program recognizes the need for eldercare services as well as the generosity and faith of the community,\u201d said Jeron Ravin, J.D., President and CEO of Swope Health. \u201cWe appreciate the trust of the community and will be proud to unveil the names of our community leaders throughout the center when it opens in 2023.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In January, Swope Health <\/span><a href=\"\/swope-health-announces-grant-award\/\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">kicked off a capital campaign<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to raise funds for the $14 million PACE KC Adult Wellness Center.\u00a0 PACE KC will be the first PACE program in Jackson County and the second in the state.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a national program offering a full range of health and wellness services for people age 55 and up. PACE aims to address the needs of the whole person \u2013 physical, emotional and psychological \u2013 a team of providers works across many disciplines to help PACE members achieve and maintain their health and wellness goals all while helping them age gracefully in their home communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Adult Wellness Center, now under construction at 4141 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, will serve as the central hub for most PACE services. The facility will feature clinical spaces to provide primary care, medical services and other therapies.
