I can &amp; I will\u201d from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Gem Theater, 1615 E. 18<sup>th<\/sup> St., Kansas City. The event is a call to action for Black men to make a commitment to mentor and support Black boys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It also is a follow-up to the November 2022 \u201cBlack Men Speak: Health, Strength, and Hope\u201d event and special edition magazine. The magazine focused on Black men, reaffirming their value and purpose and encouraging a deeper understanding of their important contributions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-embed-handler wp-block-embed-embed-handler wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"ast-oembed-container \" style=\"height: 100%;\"><iframe title=\"One On One 021224 Segment 23 Ruth Ramsey guest\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qE3k7E3iz2A?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>She explained the title as a call and response: \u201cMentor me\u201d as a request from Black boys, \u201cI can and I will\u201d as the response from Black men. She also noted a dire need for Black males to serve in mentoring roles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her goal is to show men that they are needed and convince them they have something to contribute.
